Taking the aviation industry as an example, the CFO of Hainan Airlines Holdings did some calculations: an Airbus A330 needs to be sent abroad for repairs every five years, originally subject to approximately 12 million yuan in customs duties and value-added tax. However, according to the latest "Administrative Measures for the Duty-Free Administration of Aircraft and Vessels Temporarily Exported for Repair and Re-entry," companies returning these aircraft for repair and re-entry are fully exempt from these taxes and fees, saving nearly 30% per flight. Haikou Customs estimates that the policy will reduce the burden on Hainan's airlines and shipping companies by over 600 million yuan in the first year of implementation, attracting high-value-added industries such as financial leasing and maintenance support to accelerate their concentration.
